nuously working for a part 121 airline if your FE written is less than 2 years old, instead that made it very clear that your FE written MUST be less than 2 years old! If not, you had to retake it (unless you had an actual FE license). That's what happened to me and numerous of my friends all hired in the 2004-2006 time frame.
It's all a moot point now as we're not hiring, have over 100 pilots on furlough and once we start hiring they probably won't require the FE written as don't have any aircraft with flight engineers any more. (06/22/11)
