This part of the interview took about 45 minutes, and then they took me back to the waiting area. Shortly after that, another People Dept rep took me back for an exit interview. They went over some paperwork and asked about my availability. They confirmed contact info, explained what training timeline they expect, and went over my resume briefly. They also asked if they could contact my present employer. They said they would give an answer within one week (which they did: 6 days). They explained that when they offer a training class, you will have one opportunity to delay it. If you turn it down a second time, you will have to resubmit an application and start over. After that short meeting, I was taken back to the lounge; you can hang out as long as you want or depart right then. I caught the shuttle back to the airport (leaves on the hour). I wrote a thank you email the next day. Overall, this experience surpassed all of my expectations. I was very impressed.

Best advice: be yourself, be as relaxed as possible, emphasize teamwork and customer service. (11/14/10)
  • I can confirm all of the comments above. Very straight forward and relaxed, no high pressure or brow-beating during the interview process. I was there for about three hours, and between interview sessions, the Chief Pilot was there to answer and and all questions form the applicants.  Even the CEO made it a point to come by and welcome everyone.
They will tell you, and I can confirm, the waiting is the worst part of the selection process! Less than a week after my interview, I received an email stating that I made it to phase II of the process and it could take 8 to 12 weeks before I hear anything else...so far it\'s been 9 weeks. They interviewed 55 to 60 applicants in 2 days, so I would'nt be suprised if the process takes even longer. Overall, a very positive experience. (4/21/11)
  • Interviewed 03 May.  All of the questions already listed here are spot on.  Great gouge.  The pilot/HR interview was very non-threatening. They strive to put you at ease.  Total interview time from start to finish was 2 hours. I would recommend arriving for interview at least 45 minutes ahead of time as they start finger printing and urinalysis as soon as people show up.  I arrived 30 minutes early and I was the last one there for my interview slot. • Same interview date as above. Questions on spot. EEOC- do not be fooled to doing a 'soft background check' by answering questions about background on the fly.  eg: parking tickets, bankruptcy etc.  This is what phase 2 is for, that way you can have it on paper stating you were not offered job because of bankruptcy etc. Know your rights! • Same as above, gouge is great and spot on!  Interviews remain with the same format.  2 on 1 interview with HR and Pilot, followed by exit interview with 2 team members.  Everyone is very positive and excited that you are there.  They seem to know how to eliminate your stress throughout the day just by being so friendly.  (10/15/2011)
  • Interviewed on 10/14/11.  I studied the questions from this bank, visited the JetBlue website a few times to learn a little more about the company, did a short interview prep course and talked to a few guys who work at JetBlue.  It all went as well as I could have hoped.  My interview was in the same format as previously described here with similar questions (was asked about five TMAAT questions as well as about three or four general questions).  I was VERY impressed with the process and everyone\'s genuine friendliness.  My impression is JetBlue is simply an awesome, professional company to work for.  I was notified one week later that I was continuing to Phase 2 for the background check.
