744 and 777 are a different world from the old Classics. Good mtc good equipment. If you are gone 20 days the daily rig gets you to 70 hours (3.5/day). Classics are going so the upgrade isn't as fast.

I would consider SAI one of the worst FAR 121 companies I have ever worked for; Bad schedules, horrible pay, shoddy MX, and you Seldom break guarantee (60 hrs). and you are gone 20+ days from home. If the company is short staffed, they will hold you out against your will on your Guaranteed Days Off (GDOs); not guaranteed at all, if you ask me! The only advantage Southern Air has is the potential for a quick upgrade to Captain; The fact that the attrition is so high, allows for this to be possible. Consider other places before you come here and only come here if you cannot find anything else!
