Although Evergreen operates bona-fide wide body aircraft (747-400 and 747-200), their current compensation package is well below average for the wide body segment of the industry. Initial pay for FOs and FEs is in the range of $3400 per month, and does not increase appreciably for many years. Additionally, initial captain pay is also well below average for the wide body 747 segment of the industry. These salaries are additionally unsatisfactory given the extremely high cost of living for their primary domiciles - New York/JFK and California/Bay Area/SUU. Recent class cancellations for those in the "hiring pool" further erode the career potential for this airline employer.
